Disneyland (Paris) is usually seen as an expensive trip but let me show you how you can spend a day there on a budget!

If you’re going with kids – this works over the weekend so you don’t have to worry about them missing school.
We went in May – flew out Friday night (after school) and flew back Sunday afternoon, which meant we had all of Saturday to spend at Disney. The flights were around £75 per person as we flew into Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) (the closest airport to Disneyland). You may get tempted by cheaper flights to Paris Beauvais but the time and cost to get to Disneyland is higher so it’s not worth it in the end.
The Ibis Budget Marne la Vallee Val d’Europe hotel is closely located to Disney and is a more affordable option if you want to stay a night or two – you could walk for around 25 minutes or take the train, as the train station right outside the hotel. This cost us £200 for 2 nights – 2 adults, 1 child.
The hotel is linked if you’re interested in booking – just make sure to add your dates for accurate pricing.
Now, the park tickets – they cost us £75 per person as anyone over 12 is classed as an adult ticket. We bought the 1 park ticket to Disneyland as we didn’t think it was possible to do 2 parks in 1 day, and I would say that we made the right decision. But it’s up to you to decide if you want to try 2 parks – it would be cheaper booking 2 parks 1 day compared to 1 park 1 day x2.
The tickets are cheaper during weekdays, and more expensive during school holidays, so we felt like the best compromise was going on a weekend during school term.
Overall, Disney cost us around £215 per person for a weekend away.

A tip: make sure to download the Disneyland app to keep on top of the shows and parades!
Food can be expensive so if you want to save further – I’d recommend making or buying your food before you get into Disney. You can take it in with you.
We didn’t buy much due to the cost but this is the food we tried and what it cost:

The mickey mouse doughnut cost around 5 euros

The mickey mouse pizza with a drink, cost around 20 euros
Lastly, we did pay for a taxi from and to the airport for convenience, and because there were 3 of us, it worked out well in comparison to train tickets from the airport. The taxi cost us £50 one way. The train tickets from the airport would have cost us around £13 per person one way.
